The Need for Carpet Cleaning Services in Offices

Carpets are a common floor covering in offices. They add a dash of texture and color to the workplace. A visibly soiled carpet can detract from an otherwise well-kept workplace. Wall to wall carpeting in offices is prone to heavy foot traffic and at times spills. Carpets require basic regular cleaning such as vacuuming.

Choose a vacuuming schedule that suits the carpet manufacturer’s guidance, occupancy and traffic; busy office areas need more frequent attention than occasional low-use areas. In fact it is your first line of defense against dirt and grime. You should vacuum it more often at least around the areas that receive heavy foot movements. Routine vacuuming is part of caring for the appearance and condition of an office carpet.

Hot-water extraction is one possible method, sometimes loosely called steam cleaning. Suitability and results depend on the carpet, the soil or stain and the product and equipment used. Allow the appropriate drying time.

When routine vacuuming no longer addresses visible soil or traffic lanes, discuss periodic cleaning with a professional. Identify stains and existing wear before agreeing on the expected result.

Carpet-care options can include encapsulation, bonnet cleaning or hot-water extraction where appropriate for the carpet and its care instructions. Any additional protector treatment should be agreed separately.

Do not allow dirt particles and grime to dull the appearance of your carpets and give them a stale odor. A suitable maintenance plan helps care for the carpet’s appearance; cleaning cannot reverse every stain or worn fiber.
